March to November for lower elevations. High mountains (Mercantour) only June to October, snow remaining long.
Equipment
Sturdy shoes for all tours. For the Mercantour: alpine equipment, sufficient water, weather protection.
Maps & Navigation
IGN maps 1:25,000 are the standard. Komoot and Outdooractive have good routes. GPS recommended in the high mountains.
