Directions
From Airole, drive first to Ventimiglia (13 km), then take the Via Aurelia (SS1) or the A10 motorway towards Genoa. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Alternatively, regular trains run from Ventimiglia to Sanremo (about 20 minutes).
Practical Information
Sanremo offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Via Matteotti is the elegant pedestrian shopping street. The Casino is open daily (entry from 18 years). During the February festival, hotels book up early.

Sanremo is attractive year-round. The music festival takes place in February. Spring and autumn are ideal for sightseeing, summer for beach visits. In winter, the mild climate and casino attract visitors.
