Directions
From Airole to Monaco, it is about 35 km. Drive via Ventimiglia onto the A8 towards Nice and take the exit for Monaco. The drive takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, trains run from Ventimiglia to Monaco-Monte Carlo (approx. 30 minutes).
Practical Information
Leave your car in Menton or Cap d'Ail, continue by train. Parking in Monaco is expensive (from 6 EUR/hour) and scarce. Observe the dress code at the casino.
Best Time to Visit
Monaco is attractive year-round. The Grand Prix takes place at the end of May. The Rolex Masters is in April. Many open-air events take place in the summer. Winter offers relaxed sightseeing without crowds.
