Spiaggia delle Calandre

The only true sandy beach in this coastal section - if the sand is still there. Depending on the season and storms, the size varies greatly, sometimes only a narrow strip remains. The harbor construction nearby has taken its toll on the beach.

The way there is a small adventure: 15-20 minutes of steep footpath from Forte dell'Annunziata in Ventimiglia Alta, along a path along the cliffs. Not suitable for flip-flops. Instead, shallow, clear water and popular with surfers because of the waves.

A small kiosk is sometimes open - you shouldn't rely on it. If you want shade, bring an umbrella.
