Nice Carnival 2026

Under the motto "Vive la Reine!" (Long live the Queen!), Nice transforms into a huge stage for three weeks. The illuminated evening parades (on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 PM) showcase floats up to 20 meters high with papier-mâché figures, accompanied by over 1,000 musicians and dancers from around the world. During the famous Flower Battles (Batailles de Fleurs), costumed performers throw over 100,000 flowers from the floats into the audience. The highlight is the burning of the Carnival King on March 1st with a grand fireworks display at the Promenade des Anglais. Tip: Entry to the parade processions (not the Flower Battle) is free when fully costumed.
