Loro Piana Giraglia

The Giraglia has connected Italy and France by sea since 1953 and is one of the great classics in Mediterranean sailing. The regatta week begins with coastal races in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, before the major offshore race starts: 241 nautical miles to the legendary rocky island of Giraglia at the northern tip of Corsica and on to Genoa. Over 200 yachts and 2,500 sailors participate – from amateur teams to professional sailors. The awards ceremony at the Yacht Club Italiano in Genoa concludes the week. In Saint-Tropez, a festive mood prevails at the harbor during the regatta. Saint-Tropez is located approximately 120 km from Airole.
