Fête de la Saint-Éloi

Spectacular Mule Festival in honor of the patron saint of mule drivers! Magnificently decorated horses and mules (with tassels, mirrors, embroidered blankets) parade through the village. Homage to the historical mule drivers of the "Salt Route".

Friday Evening:

Erection of traditional pine trees, fire dance, fireworks, ball

Saturday:

Preparation and decoration of animals, rehearsals

Sunday:

09:00 Grand parade through the village, blessing of animals in front of the collegiate church, festive mass with choir

12:00 Trophy presentation to the Prieur, aperitif for everyone

Afternoon: Folklore performances, fanfares

Evening: Banquet, ball

Special feature:

The Confrérie des Muletiers organizes the festival. The Prieur of the year leads the procession. Very colorful and authentic - one of the most beautiful traditions of the region!
